Terms of Service

Last updated: October 28, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Andrés Ballen, operating as Nostalgy (“we”, “us”), for your use of the Nuolo mobile app and related services (“Nuolo”). By creating an account or using Nuolo you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Nuolo.

1. Who can use Nuolo

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. If you are under the age of majority, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf. You can use Nuolo as a guest or with an account; these terms apply either way. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account or device.

2. What Nuolo does

Nuolo creates audio guides about places using artificial intelligence. Guides are generated automatically from public information and may contain mistakes, omissions or outdated facts. They are meant for entertainment and general information only — not professional, historical, travel, legal or safety advice. Opening hours, access and conditions at a place can change; check official sources before relying on them.

3. Stay safe and respect places

Always pay attention to your surroundings, traffic and local rules while using Nuolo. Don’t enter private property or closed areas because a guide mentions them, and don’t use the app while driving. You are responsible for how and where you use Nuolo.

4. Free guides, credits and subscriptions

  • Free guides: everyone starts with a limited number of free guides, with or without an account. The limit applies per person and per device.
  • Credit packs are one-time purchases that unlock a set number of guides. Credits don’t expire while your account is active and have no cash value.
  • Nuolo Unlimited is an auto-renewing subscription. It renews automatically at the price shown at purchase unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your Nuolo account does not cancel a subscription.
  • Billing and refunds: all purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their terms. Refund requests are handled by them — see our support page for links. Except where required by law, purchases are non-refundable. If Apple or Google refunds a purchase, we remove the credits or access it granted.
  • Fair use: to protect the service, we may apply reasonable daily limits on the number of guides any account can generate.
  • We may change prices or plans in the future. Changes won’t affect a subscription period you have already paid for, and Apple or Google will notify you as required.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Nuolo for anything illegal or to harm others;
  • copy, scrape, resell or redistribute guides or audio at scale, or use them to train other AI systems;
  • interfere with, overload, reverse-engineer or bypass the security or usage limits of Nuolo;
  • create accounts with false information or to get around limits or bans.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

6. Content and ownership

Nuolo, including its software, design, brand and the guides it produces, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Nuolo and listen to the guides for your own non-commercial purposes. Map data, place information and photos are provided by third parties (such as Google) and remain subject to their terms and attributions.

7. Feedback

If you send us suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

8. Changes and availability

We are continually improving Nuolo and may add, change or remove features. We may update these terms; if a change is material we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Nuolo after that means you accept the new terms.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using Nuolo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering Nuolo; if we discontinue the service we will give reasonable notice where possible.

10. Disclaimers

Nuolo is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy of guides, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that Nuolo will be uninterrupted, error-free or available in every location.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Nuolo is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

12. Indemnity

If you misuse Nuolo or break these terms and a claim is brought against us as a result, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and damages that result, to the extent allowed by law.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the U.S. state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep any protections the laws of your country of residence give you.

14. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded Nuolo from the Apple App Store:

  • These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Nuolo or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Nuolo.
  • If Nuolo fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to Nuolo, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection or intellectual property claims.
  • You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
